November 2014 – Apoorva Shah – CMD of NHC Foods Ltd., Appointed as Vice – Chairman of Indian Spice and Food Stuff Exporters Association (ISFSEA)
We are pleased to inform that Mr. Apoorva Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of NHC Foods Limited has been appointed as Vice – Chairman of Indian Spice and Food Stuff Exporters Association (ISFSEA). ISFSEA is an association representing premier exporters of Spices and Food Stuffs & Agriculture Produce, dedicated for looking into issues that concern the trade.
June 2014 – NHC FOODS BAGS ORDER FROM CENTRAL POLICE CANTEENS
We are pleased to inform that NHC Foods under its aggressive marketing strategy has bagged the prestigious tender for supplying the CENTRAL POLICE CANTEENS OF INDIA which is a government undertaking. This is the initial order for the Company’s high margin branded spice range – SAAZ to the CPC. With this order, the Company’s products will be sold at over 126 MASTER CANTEEN’s of the CENTRAL POLICE DEPARTMENTS across India. This is in line with NHC Food’s overallstrategy of focusing on the Company’s branded segment increasing its sale volume and market presence across the country.
The total requirement of all CENTRAL POLICE CANTEEN’s is well over Rs 100 crores per year and on successful completion of this order, the Company hopes to capture 25% share of all procurement by the CANTEENS’s by 2015.
Jan 2014 – Award for Excellence in Export of Spices & Spices Products for the year 2011-12
NHC Foods Limited have been awarded for Certificate of Merit from the Spices Board (Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India) in recognition of outstanding performance in the Export of Spices and Spices products for the year 2011-12. The award has been received by the Company from Shri Anand Sharma, Hon’ble Union Minister for Commerce & Industry at the Award Distribution Function at Taj Vivanta, Kovalam, Trivandrum on 26th April, 2013.
Feb 2014 – NHC Foods – Tie – up with Gershon Spices-Israel
The Company has signed and entered into a business tie-up with Gershon Spices Ltd., a dominant spices player in Israel. As per tie – up, Gershon will buy part of NHC’s Spice’s product-line during the year. Today, Gershon is major importer of spices in Istrael from India and its business is more than US $ 50 Million. Over the next 24 months NHC Foods hopes to become largest exporter from India to Gershon and this tie – up marks its first foray into Israel Market. The company is looking forward to working with Gershon Spices in coming years to unlock the business in the country.
March 2014 – NHC Foods Limited – Launches “SAAZ” range of exotic blended spices in the international market of Malaysia and South Africa.
NHC Foods Limited – Launches “SAAZ” range of exotic blended spices in the international market of Malaysia and South Africa and with positive response from these markets NHC Foods Limited now plans to introduce “SAAZ” range of Ground and Whole Spices in attractive consumer packs. With this, NHC Foods Limited aims to build SAAZ as a single exclusive brand offering all types of fine quality spices both in whole and powder form to the consumers of Malaysia and South Africa.
April 20, 2014-NHC FOODS TO BENEFIT FROM GOVERNMENT BAN IMPLEMENTATION
NHC foods, is looking forward to the implementation of the FDA ban on sale of loose sale of Spices, post election under the new Govt.
The ruling by FSSAI‟s (Food Safety Standard Authority of India) which prohibits loose sales of condiments & spices in India. The law which clearly states that “No person shall sell powdered spices condiments except under packed conditions” will greatly benefit companies like NHC who have spent resources over the past two years developing well packaged spice brands to cater to this new law and hence make the best of the first mover advantage
